Caem design philosophy concentrates on the manufacturing of modular displays and fitted solutions, made of multi purpose, easily carryable elements. This choice allows to concentrate on an optimized number of components and it helps to manage large scale orders that need great manufacturing abilities.

Here are the main units of measurement of our shelving systems:

- Pitch: it is the measure by which shelves follows each other. Looking at the front of the shelf it is the unit measurable opening one self’s arms.
- Depth: it is the measure of the shelf width. Looking at the front of the shelf it is the the distance fro the front of the shelf and the back where the shelf touches the backpanel
- Height: it is the measure of the upright height. Not to be confused with the total height that also include the regulations feet.

Metal Finishes
All the painted textures are minimum 80 micron thick and they are sprayed with thermosetting powders according to the current security rules. They are auto-extinguishing from fire, non-toxic and un-leaded, washable with neutral non-abrasive soaps or alcohol (no solvents) and they are also stain and scratch resistant. The plasticized texture is made of non-toxic PVC 125 micron gauge (as from CEE 65/548 and for migration 82/711/EEC) auto-extinguishing from fire and can be used with food (as from CEE rules). The surface is washable with domestic soaps and alcohol (no solvents) and they are also stain and scratch resistant. Thanks to our modern and versatile spraying system we have a wide range of colors which includes more 20 different possibilities of choice. Our best sellers colors are Ivory, White and Grey 9006. For this specific finishes both shelves and backpanels are supplied in the plasticized finish which is coordinated with the other sprayed elements’. Loading Capacity
UNI - Italian Organization for Standardization - represents Italy in participating in the activities of supranational standardization organizations ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and CEN (Comité Européen de Normalisation). In April 2002 UNI published the first standardization rule which stated the requirements and methods to test Business shelves ((UNI 10988: 2002). In 2001 the Working Group for Commercial Shelving was founded within ACAI (Italian Association of Steel Constructors). The working group was composed by Caem and the main Italian shelving manufactures. The group has worked hard to agree on high quality standards for engineering, measuring indexes and defining of shelves’ performances. Thanks to this contribution on January 17th 2008 UNI published the new rule UNI 11262- 1: 2008 which finally contains the directions for engineering, materials’ features, calculation and validation methods for shelvings. Based on this new rule, a Certification Scheme for Commercial Shelving has been started. Product certification will be a very important tool able to further guarantee the Caem quality to all of our customers.

Configuration Software
CAEM distributes MyShop to all its customers. Myshop is a modern software for the graphic configuration which allows both the tridimensional design and fast quotations as it contains all the assembly rules of CAEM kits.
